Infants - Giant Leg
GET THE MP3s DELIVERED IMMEDIATELY WHEN YOU PRE-ORDER THE CD!
Infants present their fully realised, long-delayed debut album 'Giant Leg'. Championed by the likes of The Stool Pigeon, Village Voice, Huw Stephens and John Kennedy, Infants were a multi-national, multi-limbed phenomenon, casually taking cues from no wave, noise rock, post-punk and electronica with wild abandon. Hailing from Oslo, Tokyo and the UK, Infants released their 'Friend Paste' EP in 2007. It was described as "Melt-Banana clawing the eyes out of Brainiac" by Drowned in Sound and "Spaz rave sci-fi sex music" by The Stool Pigeon.
'Giant Leg' is the comprehensive Infants record, taking their exploration of Boredoms' noise rock with a Lightning Bolt-esque assault, underpinned with the band's long-standing love affair with underground dance music and electronica. The album was self-produced and largely recorded at John Hannon's No Recording Studio. They split in 2009, but former members continue to innovate with psych-rock goliaths Gum Takes Tooth and tropical rock troup Feal Real.
